The Caregiver
Dr. Shawna Chesser is a Prosthodontist, a specialist in Implant, Esthetic and Reconstructive Dentistry. Dr. Chesser has received advanced specialty training in TMD, dental implants, veneers, crowns and bridges, partial and complete dentures, full smile makeover and cancer reconstruction.
Dr. Chesser attended Fisk University and received her Bachelors Degree in Biology. She continued her education at Meharry School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree with honors. After dental school, Dr. Chesser spent three additional years studying Prosthodontics. She completed her advanced specialty training, in Prosthodontics, at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Her training and experience provide her with a special understanding of the dynamics of a smile, the preservation of a healthy mouth and the creation of tooth replacement.
Dr. Chesser enjoys incorporating her love for art with the science of dentistry. She is constantly intrigued by the positive impact her artistry has on the self-esteem of her patients. Dr. Chesser takes great pride in knowing she plays a role in enhancing the "quality of life" of others through dentistry.
